This is my place to share my favorite things. My Faith, my
search for family ancestors and their histories. Along with some
research I have done for homeschooling and for helping children
who face the challenges of dyslexia. I hope your enjoy your time
here in my world.
The Baha'i Faith is 167 years old (beginning March 2010)
and I have been a Baha'i for over 30 years. It is a world-religion
whose purpose is to unite all the races and peoples in one universal
Cause and one common Faith. Baha'is are followers of Baha'u'llah
(a title meaning the Glory of God). Baha'is believe that Baha'u'llah
is the Promised One of all religions.
Dyslexia is a problem because teachers can see that the child
is intelligent. They assume that if he is intelligent, he must
not be trying. Instead of this round-robin cycle, dyslexics need
to know that their brain works differently than the "usual"
kid's brain but that they are capable of reading and writing
and, in most cases, doing it well. Here I share what I've learned
to help my children.
The search for our ancestory begins in the United States
and travels across the ocean to Europe. Here I share research,
articles and more. There is also information about the Dugger
Family Reunion 2010 in Springfield, VA (outside Washington, D.C.)
Share some time on our message board. You can post questions,
share research and insights about all the topics listed here
on Ruhi's Garden. This is especially helpful to fellow Genealogy
researchers. So we hope you'll join us. Our board is hosted by
Yuku.com. Membership is free.
